réBelles!
"réBelles!" is about female self-determination today, images of women in 20th-century art, our understanding of female empowerment, an aesthetic discourse on the subject of "Women.Today", a dialogue about how we as a society and community are to deal with the status quo - for a future in which the legal foundations of equality are reflected in women's sense of reality as true and evident.
Funding
As part of the "Neustart Kultur Ensemble" and through funding by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, Josefine Göhmann and Mario Häring, as a song duo, have their song program "réBelles!" translated under the working title "femal(E)motion" from the narrative painting/museum/exhibition in motion - to the moving image FILM and the moving body in DANCE and CHOREOGRAPHY.
SUPPORTED BY "NESTART KULTUR ENSEMBLE", FEDERAL GOVERNMENT COMMISSIONER FOR CULTURE AND MEDIA.
We appreciate with Special Gratitude Volksbühne Berlin´s Generosity regarding costume, props and space producing the art video.
WITH KIND SUPPORT BY C.BECHSTEIN AND KPM BERLIN.
Cooperation with

réBelles! le concert
The result was a black and white film (concept: Josefine Göhmann, Jan Speckenbach; director & editor: Jan Speckenbach; costume: Martha Lange with the kind support of the Volksbühne Berlin) with cinematic references to Carl-Theodor Dreyer's "La Passion de Jeanne d'Arc" and Jean-Luc Godard's "Vivre sa vie"/"The Story of Nana S.", which includes the entire song recital "réBelles!" filmed. A choreography by Kathlyn Pope was also created, in which the singer - referring to the parallel projection of the film - moves, dances, lies, walks in the entire room.
Modular Set up
"réBelles! le concert" can be performed as a modular song recital in three variants: in concert, supplemented by video and supplemented by choreography, light and costume.
Installation
In addition, "réBelles!" Is available as an audiovisual installation.
réBelles! le festival
"réBelles! le concert" was premiered in August 2022 in the St. Elisabeth Church in Berlin-Mitte as part of "réBelles! le festival" with the kind support of C.BECHSTEIN and KPM, supplemented by an educational program with workshops on composition "My voice!"
